About The WCC Handbook

The WCC Handbook began as a blog to help others understand what life is like in a Federal Prison Camp (FPC). Since its inception the intention has been to assist those who are either potentially taking a sabbatical with Uncle Sam or for those who want to learn about life in a FPC. Spoiler..it’s nothing like you see on TV!

Over time, my work has expanded to include prison consulting  which brings me tremendous satisfaction when I am able to assist people in the often terrifying prelude to surrendering to prison. My main purpose is not just to prepare people but also provide hope and inspire people to not let one mistake define their lives.

Concurrently, I began researching prison library programs across the USA that support and send educational materials to incarcerated individuals. I began donating new books to a multitude of library programs (Chicago Books to Women in Prison, NYC Books Thru Bars, Appalachian Prison Book Project, Prison Book Program…to name just a few!) as well as sending special requests to clients of White Collar Advice. Donations are focused on educational or skill building books (e.g. Plumbing Licensing, Language Skills, etc.) with the intention that people will be better prepared to gain employment upon their release.

Expertise

In addition to a B.A. from Georgetown University and extensive graduate studies in the Fine and Decorative Arts, I have over 20 years of management experience in a full range of disciplines . I have also been consulting with people involved in the criminal justice process since 2015 and understand not only the logistics and complications of working with the Federal Government but also, having personally participated in life in a FPC, sympathize with the more unique aspects of this particular experience.
